The South Florida Bass Kings was established on May 7, 1999. 
We are a Florida B.A.S.S. Federation Nation fishing club.
We have monthly meetings on the third Thursday of every month at Bass Pro Shops "Outdoor World" in Fort Lauderdale, FL at 7:30pm in the rear meeting room. We normally have our monthly fishing tournaments on the following Sunday.
We currently have 10 Boaters and 7 non-boaters as members. We fish the local freshwater canals and lakes, including Lake Okeechobee, Alligator Alley, Lake Ida, Lake Osborne, The Everglades and others. We are always looking for new members. For more information please e-mail us or just show up at our next meeting. We are actively looking for new members, come and see what we are all about.
Federation News:
A change from previous season is the Angler Of The Year will be awarded based on results from our Qualifying Tournaments. In other words, the State Tournament will not count towards Angler Of The Year.
Tom Mahoney was voted in as President of Florida Federation Nation. Term limits required Jim Hoovan to step down.
Dell Hatfield will remain as Tournament Director, Jeff Brooks and Gary Paul will continue as South Region Directors, Gary Adams of Taylor Creek Bass Club has been added to our Region as a Director.
Congratulations to Sylvester Smalls and Linda Paul as they are the South Region Angler and Co-angler of the Year for 2010

WARNING!!!!!!!!!
Mercury and Yamaha both agreed in an article in Bassmaster magazine that the gasoline that we are receiving with the alcohol up to 10% is causing major problems in outboard motors. They highly recommend that you use a fuel treatment like Stabil Marine version to help keep you fuel fresh and limit the effect of alcohol attracting water. I have purchased the Stabil Marine formula and it is very reasonable. If you follow the instructions it is not very expensive, especially when you consider not doing anything and then having major motor problems down the road.

GOALS
To stimulate public awareness of Bass fishing as a major sport.To offer our State Conservation department our organized moral, political support and encouragement
To promote adherence to all conservation codes and to demand adequate water standards
To detect and report any polluter and call public and political attention to their crime.
To improve our skill as bass angles through a fellowship of friendly exchange of expert bass catching techniques and ideas and to promote and encourage youth fishing and a love for this great recreation.
To function as a dynamic and effective link with other chapters of the State B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation embracing the principles and purpose of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society.
To support all members looking to advance through the Federation and into the next level.
To raise money through open tournaments for supplementing members who qualify to fish the BASS State Championship.
To support and run youth events
To support and be active in all conservation issues in our area.
